There has been much talk lately inside Conservative circles regarding how we might deal with the encroaching authoritarianism of Western governments. One idea that has picked up some steam in recent years is that of “Parallel societies”. A simple idea that seeks to establish alternative options in commerce, banking, shopping, health, entertainment, and other societal systems - all of which theoretically, would operate as a replacement economy for Traditional Americans, bypassing the established economy and its collection of increasingly corrupted and hostile institutions. While this idea sounds appealing, and offers hope to those of us who see our lives being uprooted by a pathological culture, it fails to address one fundamental issue.
